We belong to the United Church of Christ (UCC), which has no relationship to the Church of Christ but rather was forged in 1957 as the union of several different Christian traditions.
From the beginning of our history, we have affirmed that Christians did not always have to agree to live together in community. Our motto—“that they may all be one”—is Jesus’s prayer for the unity of the church.
Closer to home, we are a member of the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference of the UCC, which includes 60+ churches over the two states. The K-O Conference is officially Open & Affirming, and regularly engages in social justice work in this region. You can find out more about the Conference here: https://www.kocucc.org
