We belong to the United Church of Christ (UCC), which has no relationship to the Church of Christ but rather was forged in 1957 as the union of several different Christian traditions.
From the beginning of our history, we have affirmed that Christians did not always have to agree to live together in community. Our motto—“that they may all be one”—is Jesus’s prayer for the unity of the church.
For a statement of broadly held United Church of Christ beliefs, see the national UCC website.
