Our Statement on Anti-racism
As people gathered in by Fellowship Congregational United Church of Christ, we acknowledge racism in our Congregational history, our current culture, our congregation, our families, and ourselves;
and we vow to actively and intentionally support antiracism awareness and our denominational call to action:
Speak up! Stand up! Show up! against racism.
From UCC.org
“As we enter this season of Pentecost,*we are reminded that
the breath of God still blows where she wills,
the fire of God’s righteousness still burns within those who believe,
the power of God still emboldens us to tear down every stronghold,
and the Will of God still reigns supreme.
In the strength of that power, we must be compelled to action.”
Speak up! Stand up! Show up! against racism.
Therefore, Fellowship Congregational United Church of Christ recommits itself to growing in spirit and working for justice as we Work for peace, Pray for peace, Wage a little peace, and Love one another
…Every.Single.Other.
*In the church calendar, the Season of Pentecost begins 50 days after Easter and runs through November, though this is simultaneously called “Ordinary time.”
