On Mondays, you’ll find some of us at house meetings discussing local issues that affect not only our families, but other families in the community through ACTION (Allied Communities of Tulsa Inspiring Our Neighborhoods), or engaged in our continuing work on racial justice in a study group…
On Tuesdays, some of us will be practicing with the local Gay Men’s chorus, Council Oak Men’s Chorale, or attending a nearby PFLAG meeting.
Others might be at the local banquet for Tulsa Metropolitan Ministry or volunteering with CAIR.
Or attending a NAMI meeting or helping JustHope.
Wednesdays might find us at book study, having coffee, and discussing the latest reads…
Thursdays we can be online for our “Art & Spirituality” zoom group or meeting for dinner in one of our fellowship groups..
Fridays it might be a wedding rehearsal, Gay bingo night at the Equality Center, a poetry slam at one of the local coffee shops, or a chance for some R&R…
Saturdays we feed the homeless at The Day Center for the Homeless, we go to endless soccer, baseball and basketball games, and do annual events like march in the PRIDE parade. We walk in the park, tend to our gardens, mow the lawn, take a nap…
And Sundays? Well, we gather back together as a church family to re-charge, to tell our stories, to experience God together in sanctuary…we might be having a potluck after church, or a board meeting, or celebrating a birth, or a wedding, or a birthday…and looking for God in all of these things, all the time…
